I've had a few training partners throughout my running years and I can't for the life of me figure out why they stop running completely!
Most of the time injuries tend to slow us down or keep us from hitting the pavement for a few weeks or months but to stop completely......
So my question to you is do you know anyone that has stopped and what was their reason???
Why did they stop running and can you see yourself not running???

I definitely can't see myself NOT running... here's hoping I can keep it that way!
Right now, I can't see myself stop running. My family and co-workers wouldn't be able to stand me. :)
I don't really know many runners in real life, so I can't entirely relate seeing someone else stop. Right now, I don't see myself stopping any time soon; however, I don't think I'll limit myself to running exclusively for forever. I like other physical activities too.
Most of my former training partners still run, though not like the old days. Those that gave it up just couldn't handle the injuries and surgeries or started families and felt running was too selfish.
Well Ken, they did run with you...
Just kidding! Who knows why they stop. I could see it happening if life stress/work/family stuff got in the way. I am hoping to never have to stop, but ish happens.
We should go on Whipeout together!
