Running With the Wind

After all the hype about the Arctic freeze that we were going to encounter, it really wasn’t that bad. We started with the temp at 18 degrees but the wind chill made it feel like 5! The wind can sometimes be your friend giving you that extra push that you might need to get up a hill but turn around and it’s brutal and unforgiving, especially when your face is froze.
Today was a day to insert marathon pace into their long runs and everyone performed like true athletes. It’s funny how we think of marathon pace differently when we actually have maintain it.
I’m donning my Packer gear for the remainder of the weekend.
If you think I’m bad the city of Green Bay has taken down the street sign ‘New York City’ and replaced it with ‘McCarthy Ave.’. They’ve gone as far as taking episodes of Seinfeld off the air, since that’s one of Eli Manning’s favorite shows. Don’t you love football?
