Tuesday's Thoughts

One thing that I've noticed in perusing the Blogsphere is that most of the women running bloggers have running partners. A large group of you even have packs that you run with. Now I belong to running groups that meet on a weekly basis to get in miles and socialize but it just seems that you women do it more often and on a more informal basis. Lastly, non of you are camera shy!!!!

I have been trying to get better in the kitchen and can actually cook some interesting and nutritional meals! Now don't get me wrong, I'm limited in the things that I've tried but I can say that I made a mean slow cooker chicken and dumplings the other day!

I received a watch for a service anniversary at work the other day. It's a pretty nice looking watch but I did have to put it in the drawer with my other two service watches.......

Is it just me or would some of you like to be on the Biggest Loser ranch for just one week?

Has anyone ever killed themselves on the television show 'Wipeout'? The things that they do are totally dangerous!

Did anyone see Watson on Jeopardy????

I have to bring in a healthy snack to work on Friday, other than fruit(which everyone else has brought in) what can I bring in????????

My kids love Wipeout, but it physically hurts me to watch it. With all the injuries I've had over the years it makes me cringe. I would like to know how many folks end up in the hospital.

Sure would like to see your crock-pot chicken and dumplings recipe. Love me some chicken and dumplings.

I really miss my running group. A lot. I'm not sure why I haven't joined one here, but in time I'm sure I will.

Pretzels?!? Whole wheat pita and reduced-fat dip?

Make my power bars: http://marleneontherun.blogspot.com/2009/05/power-bars.html

They're easy and fun to make if you like to get your hands dirty. ;)

Canada has/used to have a show about losing the last 5/10lbs of vanity weight. Jillian needs to start that show, so I can go on it. What a workout I'd get from her!

I auditioned for Wipeout last year, but I guess I wasn't enough for a "character" for them. Boo.

When you're as beautiful as I am, there's no reason to be camera shy! ;)

I recently made a black bean dip in my blender that was soooo good and sooo easy - a can of black beans, garlic, some olive oil and a pinch of cayenne pepper. Throw it all in & blend it until creamy. Bring that with some carrots and pita chips to dip in it. And save soem for me!

I don't have a running partner or a pack. I must be a loser. Maybe it's the gas.

Twinkies all the way.

i don't run with people. well except josh (the hub) sometimes, but i'm not like all these other women you hang out with online. i would definitely take a week (+) on the ranch! too bad you can't sell those watches... do they at least not have the company logo on them? lol. that seems like something my work would do...

I run alone but many guys too. Also, I love wipeout - fun show, hate biggest loser. How about some Hummus, Tabouli(sp?) and crackers. Great snack and easy. You can pick it all up at Costco and no prep time.
