Everyone Knows it's Windy....

We had another day of wind gust of 30 mph for our TNT group training.

So when you're given lemons, you make lemonade. We practiced drafting off each other while running.

I've been known to draft off runners a foot shorter than me, just to have some of the wind blocked. It's also a rest way to mentally rest and recover for me.

We actually had to run some hills to get out of the wind and no one was complaining, go figure.

I still contend that running in the wind is tougher than running hills. At least you can se the top of the hill, he wind seems to never end.

I think it was a hard run for a lot of the team but they persevered.

Next week is the Spring team's 20/12 miler, then it's taper time.

Oh yeah, that Final Four thang is down to two!!!!

Go Green, Go White!!!!!

I've never actually drafted off anyone, but hearing it makes me think of that episode of The Office when they run the 5K and Andy is drafting off Kevin. Cracks me up.

Yeah, the Spartans victory should give a little lift to your step. Wish the Wildcats were there with you but NC is the better team, and clearly better last night. Good luck Monday, two good teams playing.

The wind IS tougher to run in, especially a cold wind, GAH, it is really gusty here too!

Geezzz I remember that song too! LOL

I draft too, no shame unless you're drafting too close.

Yeah, it was really windy here yesterday. I'm surprised the siding didn't blow off of someone's house. And I agree, running in the wind can be hard. It makes it especially difficult to catch your breath at times.

Seems it's been windy for all of us lately! I was running in similar gusts on the weekend. Too bad I didn't have anyone to draft off of!

I think you sent some of that wind to Galveston, TX yesterday for the Half and Quarter Ironman race. It was BRUTAL out there. I thought I was going to blown off of the bike and I did not have my deep dish race wheels on.
