Another TNT event where the weather played a major role in the results! As Nelly would say, "it's gettin' hot in herre"
The Flying Pig started to look like a death march once the sun came out in full force! Even with a 6:30 AM start, it caught a lot of folks off guard. All of my folks finished but it was UGLY!
The last TNT participant finished in 7:27ish for the marathon. Long coaching day............
Would you rather run in heat or rain?
My gym opened back after renovations. I went a week without doing any strength training and survived!
Hot Gatorade sucks!
A hot dog and coke taste like heaven after being on the course for 7 1/2 hours......
A cold BEvERage taste even better after a coke and hot dog.
My Garmin battery lasted the entire time on the course.
The Flying Pig Victory party doesn't last 7 1/2 hours.
I get to coach again in three more weeks!
Peace..........

Nice job coach! I hear you met some of Central Ohio's amazing alumni, Ann and Elizabeth. :)
I'd rather run in the rain. Blisters beat heat stroke in terms of recovery.
Rain....any.day. I actually love to run in the rain. Makes you feel bad-ass. Congrats on your team! The Pig is a great race.
Rain, absolutely! And cold.
Good for you for sticking it out with your runners.
Tough choice for me because we dont' get much rain so I'm afraid I'd melt in the rain, but running in heat definitely sucks.
Heat or rain, heat or rain. That's a tough choice. But I think I'll take rain.
Too bad about the weather at Flying Pig this year. I really want to run it in the next couple of years, so hopefully this isn't a trend!
Rain. Hands down. Hot Gatorade is just not appealing.
The Pig WAS hot as hell! But I finished as well! I thought you looked familiar out there.
