T.G.I.Freezing.....................

Windchill temperatures below ZERO!

It's the weekend, a time for all runners to frolic outside doing their longest mileage.

We're suppose to be pushing our bodies to the limits with just running, not trying to maintain a normal core temperature!

This will probably be a four-layer weekend! I'll even have to dust off the wind briefs........

What's the most layers that you've ever worn????

I remember running before the advent of all the hi-tech apparel.

We would wear layer after layer of cotton clothing and pray that we had on enough. I remember running with ski goggles, that's how old school we were! Ah, the good old days (boy were we stupid)..........

Once again we'll find out who has the biggest balls to be outside braving the elements. Where are all those people that I saw running in July?

This cold spell should make for some good football this weekend. Am I the only one in Blogland with their favorite team still playing? GO Packers............

I finally saw this week's Biggest Loser and is it just me or is it strange for adult twins in their fifties to have identical mustaches and the same kind of glasses?

What's the coldest that you run outside in??????????

i think the coldest that i've run in was 11 deg with windchill of 2. and it was too cold for me. i've decided that 15 is my lower limit.

Ha ha! I thought the same thing about those twins. At least one of them could give his hair a side part. Temps here on the weekend call for windchill of -27*C (-16F) so I'll be watching a chick flick from the comfort of my basement treadmill, but good on you!

LMAO, this weekend is our Hypothermic Half Marathon. I tried it one year and had less than 5K to finish and I was literally experiencing Hypothermia!

Stay inside and GO PACKERS GO!!!

ps what do you mean your kids don't like beer...?

Tomorrow will be my coldest run to date and I'm not looking forward to it at all. D@mn this frigid arctic tundra!

Thankfully, I rarely have to run in the cold ;)

The creepiest part about the twins was at one point they said they had never spent a day apart in their whole lives. I hope that isn't true.

I ran today and oh my god.. I think I've reached temp max!

I wasn't sure how to dress so I dressed as if I were running in 20 degree weather... if anything, I would add another layer of socks (I wear 2 now) and maybe another layer of gloves, and maybe a face mask...overall I had a fabulous run!

Haha! Yes, THIS weekend will be the coldest I've run in. I was thinking of running at Stoney Creek tomorrow. I'll be wearing: UA underwear, tights, running pants, wool socks, shoes with duct tape over it, long sleeve shirt, long sleeve shirt, running jacket, fleece jacket, balaclava, hat, mittens. This will keep everything warm except from my eyes to my mouth. Haha! We are crazy, huh?

I'm not sure I've ever run below 20 degrees... Not sure I'd want to. Isn't that why God invented treadmills? ;o)

Yeah, I live in the South. Anything in the 20s or lower is going to keep me in.

i remember running in cotton t's and soccer shorts. although i wasn't hardcore back then and didn't run in the winter much. i also live in s.carolina. and technically i still run in cotton t's sometimes.

coldest i've ran in was 7 degrees. 1 layer on bottom, 3 layers up top.

not jealous of you. perhaps you should have stowed away in marlene's suitcase.
