No Such Thing as a Free Lunch!

How do retired people handle all of their free time?

I am finally back to work and hopefully back to a nutritional routine that is healthy. Although that damn alarm clock scared the hell out of me this morning!

My local gym finally realized that most of the members weren't willing to pay for classes, so now all the classes are free!

So this is my chance to check out the Spinning class and see if I can still get a good sweat for 45 minutes.

I'm not very good on a class environment! I'm an overachiever that becomes borderline obnoxious!

I know that's hard to believe but it's true.

You would have thought that Lance Armstrong was on the bike next to me. I probably could have done that tour thingy in France..........

Well, do you realize the amount of torque cycling puts on your old arthritic knee?

A helluva lot! OUCH........

So I immediately ice my knee in hopes of calming the throbbing ache.

The other thing about an evening class is that I was too geeked to get to bed!

So as I sit hear with ice on my knee(at work), remember there is no such thing as a 'free' lunch!

I love, love spin classes! I live out in the middle of no where though and it would prb cost more in gas than the class would!! Try making sure your positioned on the bike correctly that should help your knee :)

HEHEHE I cant do classes because I am too worried that I am being judged if I do it wrong.. Guess it stems from YEARS of being COACHED on the court..

Have a great day...

Ice those knees...

Ken!!!

It looks like the hubs and I are going to be in Dearborn MI for the Martian Marathon April 1st - 2nd.

Is that remotely close to where you are?

Wouldn't you love to meet your fave crazy Canadian??

Perhaps meet for a couple of BEvERages on Saturday night? We would be happy to drive to wherever you are, providing it's not crazy far. The race is Saturday and we'll be spending both Friday and Saturday night in Dearborn.

Shoot me an email... sykes.marlene@yahoo.ca
