I need to schedule a day during the week when I can get eight plus hours of sleep...
With all of the running and cross-training and early morning beat the heat stuff that everyone does. Are we getting enough ZZZZZZZs?
I've read about recovery runs and recovery socks but not a lot about getting sufficient sleep to truly let the body recover.
So my plan is to pick one day during the week when I sleep in and get to work a little later than normal. I'll also schedule an evening run from work so I can miss the rush hour traffic.
Let's see how this works......

Yeah I have no idea what that show is! But I feel you on the sleep issues!
Sounds like a good plan. I have adjusted my routine during the week so I am in bed by about 9pm in order to accommodate those early wake-up calls. I always ensure that I get at least 8 hours one day on the weekend to catch up.
ZZZZZZZZZ
I totally remember this show. But look at those hairdos!
Right now I am usually getting 8 hours but I am a teacher and that won't be happening soon!
Isn't there a Seinfeld episode where George creates a answering machine thing using the theme song from that show??
Well, I do remember the show and NO eight is not enough when you are training.
Yesterday I got home from work and lay down on the floor to stretch before the Beaver Chase Race last night (which started at 6:30pm), I woke up at 7pm!!! Totally missed the reace....So, I guess the old bod was telling me I needed more sleep!!!
