Wind and cold temps have descended on the mitten state and I'm not ready!
I'm still walking around in my Spring jacket.....
Why is 40 degrees colder now than in the spring???
Well, we concluded our Team in Training informational meeting and it looks like the team will be a lot smaller. We've really noticed the effects of the recession on our team lately. So as one of the staff so wisely put it, the participants will get more one on one time with the coach.
Those lucky guys!
We have a special event tomorrow. Our local (Hansons) running store is hosting a special send-off for their team Olympic marathon hopefuls. These men and women will be headed to Florida to continue their training before the marathon in January.
I t should be fun and a great way to show them how proud our local running community is of them.
So we'll get to rub elbows with some pretty fast folks!
Okay, now I have to go find my winter coat and gloves............. Brrrrrrr
Peace

We had a pretty lousy recruitment here in our chapter too. But we did just come off a record fall season...it doesn't make any sense!
I wore my winter running jacket for the first time today. I'm looking forward to seeing you guys out at Stony this winter.
It's cold and we've done got wussified.
If it makes you feel better, we had some snow this morning. At least you don't have that yet....
Cold enough here, too, but not like Michigan. I've seen much smaller teams here the last few years as well, and more people dropping from those small teams. Probably a combo of the recession and more and more groups using athletics to fundraise, so people can get bombarded. Art
The temps have been up and down like crazy lately. I never know what to wear and whether to complain or not!
Hope you didn't pull out all the winter clothes. What is with this cold-hot-cold business? Is it normal?
