Why are drivers so rude and obnoxious to pedestrians??????
I went for a two block walk to the Post office and was almost hit twice at the pedestrian crossing!!!!
WTF????????

Some drivers are awful!! So many don't bother to check for pedestrians... sad & dangerous!
In Oregon, it's illegal to not stop for pedestrians in the crosswalks. It was nice to not fear for your life while crossing the street the way you're supposed to. Us Midwesterners are meanies!!
You ARE in Detroit (or somewhere nearby), which is not exactly known for its great drivers. Last year at the Detroit Marathon a woman talking on her cell phone while driving a purple PT Cruiser (a detail which always amuses me) drove through a barricade and almost hit a cop before realizing she was driving into the race route. When I passed them, SHE was screaming at the COP. I later heard she was arrested. So...there's hope! And if not hope, at least entertainment, as long as no one is hurt.
