TTT

1) T.G.I.F... Today is my Friday, albeit the unofficial end of summer! I HATE this time of year and I don't want to hear about cooler temps and leaves changing colors................... I love green leaves!

2) Leg strengthening, do you incorporate it into your normal training or is it an off-season thing? I have to continually work on my legs to keep my knees in check. They say we lose muscle as we get older. Damn, I'm in trouble.............

3) The track workout was a total success. I had the team do a workout they performed one month ago and everyone ran faster and more consistent in just one month! Okay, the temps were cooler (still hate this time of year), but they are getting stronger and faster.

Okay, I am outta here.........

you hate this time of year? really? autumn is my fav and it's not even autumn yet!

I still do weight training on my legs and my knees always seem to feel better after I work them with weights.

I love this time of year, but won't rub it in about the changing leaves, etc. I do some leg strengthening but not as much as I should. With my bad plantar fasciitis, my doc has me doing exercises to strengthen my hips - one legged squats, side planks, leg raises, and elastic band work. I do those semi-religiously, but never seem to get to the gym enough. Art

I'm just gonna go ahead and tell you that I'll be reveling in the coming fall for weeks. Cooler temps = not chained to running at some pre-dawn hour, and THAT makes me happy! :)
