Wednesday's Why????

Three crappy runs in a row? Okay, in my best Nancy Kerrigan voice, "why me?".......

Is December the 'crappy run' month?

Should I just shut it down and take it easy?

Twelve Lords a Leaping would even be tired by now!

Hey, I could say I'm going to start up again on January 1.........

When do you rejuvenate your batteries? Everyone but Marlene, who is non-stop!!!!

I know the feeling!! A few crappy runs are what makes the good runs REALLY good!

marlene is non-stop. i think she does drugs........

i have to play games to pull myself out of a funk. go for a 'fartlek' type run (that way i can blame a slow overall avg pace on the easy parts, but still feel like i pushed myself), or do non-running workouts. i used to suck at the non-running workouts, but this year i've really embraced them.

or you could just get some of marlene's drugs.

I never stop completely just take step back weeks. WE all have good ones and bad ones.. Keep on!!

Yeah, Marlene is off the charts! I have taken a break when I just felt I "had it"- when the running felt more stressful than fun. Once I stopped entirely for about a week. Other times, I just cut back the mileage a LOT.

Batteries are set for recharge on January 2nd. Post NYE and post Outback Bowl festivities. Here's to gluttony and sloth until then!

Everyone keeps telling me it's been a mild December so if you're having this terrible of a December I shudder to think what January is going to be like if it gets worse!!!
