Wednesday's Why???????

Okay, where did this sharp pain in my left (good one) knee come from????

It started at the end of the TNT group training run and has persists since.

Okay, I know R.I.C.E., but I'm not running enough miles to have pain!!!!!

Okay, my question for today is for the older generation.

Why did Tarzan (Johnny Weissmuller), have a name for his chimp(Cheetah), a name for his woman (Jane) but not the infant/child human being boy?

He actually called the boy Boy!

Everyone else had a name but Boy??????

Hope the pain goes away soon!

And I guess sometimes a boy is just a "Boy"!

I am way too young for that topic. ;)

Hope the knee is okay, old man. (Kidding, kidding. I know you're young at heart... now have your heart pass that message along to the old knee[s].)

I hope there is nothing serious going on with your knee and the pains goes away quickly.

I am shrugging my shoulders at the Tarzan question. Maybe he went to my high school, that is something to too out of the ordinary.

I'm of the generation that should be able to answer the question. I guess I always thought he had another name that Jane used and Tarzan didn't. I mean, you have to admit, the guy had brawn but no brains.

Remember that the time frame of the original Tarzan story took place near the end of the Victorian era. Children were to be seen and not heard and not refered to in public settings by their first names. Edgar Rice Burroughs wrote Tarzan of the Apes between 1912 and 1914. Sorry, former English teacher.

Hope your knee gets better.

Take care of that knee.

Boy oh boy, I don't know. Of course if Tarzan was French, he would have called him Garcon. Tarzan was too smart to call Jane "Woman."
