T.G.I.Freep..........

This is the Detroit Free Press Marathon & 1/2 Marathon weekend and wouldn't you know the weather has changed!

It got me to thinking about words or phrases that you don't wnat to hear if you running a marathon.

  • Temps below normal
  • Gusting up to......
  • Cancel those outdoor plans
  • If you're a duck...
  • July like temps...
  • Unusually cold..
But I'll still be out there with camera in hand running with and taking photos of  all the peeps that I know!

Peace...........

I think i'd rather hear some of those terms than 'record high' or 'unseasonably warm'. Hope the weather cooperates for you. Have a great weekend.

I'd take unseasonably cold over unseasonably warm! Not so fond of the wind warnings (here too). Hopefully Mother Nature will cut us all a break...

Have fun. One thing you can't control is the weather!

Rain or shine, it's our time! It would be nice to run a marathon without rain though. Wind I can deal with. Cold I can deal with. Rain, wind, and cold - give me a break already! This will be my 20th race. The only race I have had any significant rain - my first marathon. WTF.

I'll take the cold on race day! Can't wait to hear how Freep went. I was definitely missing it today.
