It's S.A.D.

I've seemed to have misplaced my exercise Mojo lately and I'm blaming it on Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD).

This is the time of year when I drive to work in the dark and leave work in the dark. I need sunlight!

Does that make me an Anti-vampire????

I also think my new exercise environment at the local community center isn't motivating me as much. Being surrounded by a group of mature individuals doesn't get the spark in me going.

How do people do this on their own???????????

I always find having a event that I paid for on the calendar gets my butt out of bed in the dark hours of the morning.

Fear. It is all about fear of not being ready for the event. I work well on fear.

I lived in Alaska for five years, which meant not only doing everything in darkness - for months - but I didn't belong to a gym and couldn't run outdoors. I also couldn't afford a treadmill, so every morning I went into my basement, cranked the boom box and ran in circles. I mention this only to give you hope and not be so SAD because it could be much, much worse.

OMG, I am so stealing this photo...that is ME to a T.

I always have a problem with SAD, Ken have to thought of purchasing one of the lamps that help with this? I'm contemplating it...because my mojo has gone south too....

I hear you on the darkness. All the daylight is wasted while Im tapped in my windowless office. DEPRESSING!

All we can do is embrace it and make the most of it. Cheer up buddy!!!

I'm having the same issue right now. I agree with Liz - sign up for that event. I need to follow that advice. Working for a living doesn't help because the best part of the day is at work.
