Seventy Miles per Hour WIND??????
I need to get in a run and this is the type of weather that you give me? WTF???????????
I was perusing some race photos of my son's 1/2 Mary in LA and I caught myself looking at the people that are around him....
Not to say that you can tell how fast a person runs by their photo, but ..................
So it got me to thinking about some of the things that I notice at races.
Do you look at other peoples shoes, just to get an idea of what's popular????
Clothing is sometimes an indicator of a person's speed........
Are you married to a particular brand and try to match???
There's always one guy in a race that has on cut-off jeans or regular shorts....
Locally, we have one guy that wears the American Flag colors at every race he enters..........
Do you have any strange/different takes????????

We're looking at some crazy winds here today too! Good times. Maybe I'll just run with the wind behind me and call for someone to pick me up when I'm done.
I love looking at people's choices of footwear and clothing in races... as well as running style. Looking at some people, it's amazing that they are still moving forward. Then I realize they are ahead of me. :S
Hmm..I definitely am not matchy-matchy in my attire, but I do have brands I stick to. And it IS true that you can tell a little bit about a runner based on what they wear. For instance, the guy in the marathon/half who is wearing a cotton t-shirt. I wince for him, 'cause I know (and apparently he doesn't) that that is gonna hurt like a sonofabitch later!
70?! That's not wind, that's a tornado!
I do catch myself looking at other people's shoes at races. Always curious what people like.
I see the cut off jeans guy at each race I run in California.
Thank you very much for your wonderful
