Wednesday Why???

Why are there so many running books on the market?

Remember in the beginning, everyone said how cheap running was. How you didn't need any special equipment and you could do it anywhere?

Just step out your door and run, it was that simple.

Now I can train like a Kenyan or eat the same diet as an Olympic marathoner.

You ever wanted to know what is feels like to run on the sun? What about running on a glacier? Well, there are books on both.

I can read about what makes a person run 100 miles within a 24 hour period. What goes through the mind of a person running 50 marathons in 50 states.

Lastly, I can even learn the meaning of life through running.

Why do I feel like Andy Rooney????????

I have to stay away from the book section at Chapters or I get into trouble! I wish my local library had more of these great books.

So true! When I started I thought it was going to be a cheap hobby...$140 pair of shoes later, I knew I was wrong.... :)

Yeah, and the $140 pair of shoes wears out after a few months!

Coach Ken - you need to write the next book on running. The title can be "Why are there so Many Books on Running?"

See, I don't think its books that have added to the cost of running, it's all the gagetry. iPods, Garmins, etc -- they're not cheap!

I still have Galloway's first book. It was my instruction manual.

It is all about money. Someone always has to offer their side of the story. Now go write your book and make some money.
